IBS’09 is officially in the books. I wasn’t able to spend the WHOLE week at the show in Las Vegas, but in the 2 1/2 days of the show I did attend, there was a lot of positive information shared among people in the building industry.
I had the distinct priveledge of speaking at a seminar on the final day of the show on Social Media. My speaking partner, Carol Flammer, of Flammer PR, and I were very excited by the attendance at the seminar – especially on the morning of the last day of the show (many attendees had late nights the evening before!) We had over 100 people come to hear how we use social media to build relationships with buyers and hopefully sell more homes.
Overall, the show had really positive vibe. I think many builders left with tools they can use (social media tools as well as others!) and a hopeful outlook. It will be very interesting to watch our industry over the next year, and I look forward to new and positive discussions at IBS ’10 next year.
