42nd Annual Mountain Moonshine Festival

By Tricia.Sumpter | October 7, 2009

The 42nd Annual Mountain Moonshine Festival is going on the weekend of October 23-25 in the downtown square in Dawsonville.  And no,  there  isn’t any Popular old-fashioned car showREAL moonshine, don’t worry! This is a family event – and one of the largest festivals in North Georgia! This is a fun event to attend,  and it’s only a half hour north of the Monte Hewett  Heatherton community in Roswell.

The festival includes a car show with popular race car drivers in attendence, live entertainment, a parade, food, crafts and other fun activities. All the proceeds benefit KARE for Kids, Inc.  a non-profit organization that provides clothing,  medicine, educational resources and much more to the children of Dawson County.
