Smyrna’s Jonquil Festival Promises Fun at the Market Village
By DinaG | October 19, 2009
Just across Atlanta Road from Riley’s Walk, over 150 artisans, craft and food vendors will temporarily set up shop at the Village Green in the Smyrna Market Village this weekend, Oct. 24 and 25. It’s time again for the annual Smyrna Fall Jonquil Festival. Admission is free and live entertainment runs throughout both days at the main stage in front of the Smyrna Library.
The festival runs from 10am to 6pm on Saturday and noon to 5pm on Sunday. A special childrens area will feature bounce houses, slides and activities on both days. Grab a funnel cake, some free jonquil bulbs to plant later and take some time to stroll through the shops of the Market Village as well. The festival attracts over 15,000 visitors each year.
