While the kids are out of school, take them to one of several nearby attractions around Roswell for an affordable way to have fun and beat the sweltering heat. Residents at our Heatherton community have just the right cure for the heat wave with two new awesome spraygrounds close by. Splash ‘n Play at Riverside Park is located only minutes from Heatherton. You can enjoy a variety of spray features along with food from the concession stands and a rental pavilion for birthday parties. The entire family can have a blast from 10am to 7pm six days a week.

If you’re more of a nature enthusiast, Chattahoochee Nature Center offers multiple activities for people of all ages. Explore wildlife trails and hiking through the woods while enjoying encounters with turtles, owls, and snakes. Don’t worry; these guys are harmless and handled by park rangers. If you want a thrilling ride, take an adventure down the Chattahoochee on a river canoe trip. In the evenings, Riverside Park offers “Riverside Sounds”a free outdoor concert series with shows from now through October from 7-9pm.
