Beep, beep! Let’s get going Smyrna for the annual Jonquil City Jog 5K & Festival
Lace up your sneakers and stretch your muscles just in time for the annual Jonquil City Jog 5K & Festival in Smyrna, GA. Gather up your strongest runners for a team in effort to cross the finish line on Saturday April, 27, 2013. Race day registration is offered on the day of the race across from Smyrna City Hall from 7am until the start of the race. Online pre-registration is open until April 25, 2013 at 6:00pm, but don’t drag your feet. The date will be here before you can say Jonquil!
All are welcome at this race. There is an event for road runners of all ages from kids to senior citizens. Gather the little ones for the Tot Trot or push yourself to the limit in the full 5K run. NO worries; you can walk it too. We want to see you moving for education. Walk, jog, skip or run – any way you do it, you’ll be having fun. Not to mention a snazzy new t-shirt from the registration packet and all first place winners get key lime pies. All proceeds from the Jonquil City Jog 5K & Festival benefit the Campbell High School Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides community and financial support to the students of Campbell High School.
When the race is done, it’s time for springtime family fun. The Jonquil Festival takes place on Saturday, April 27th from 10am to 6pm and on Sunday, April 28th from 12pm to 5pm. The whole community is invited to enjoy live entertainment from local artists, crafts and a ton of activities for the kids. Registered runners get in FREE with their race number.
